About Humor That Works

Welcome to Humor That Works, I’m your host and MC, Drew Tarvin.  This website is dedicated to helping corporations, companies, managers, employees, and even your average Joe or Joe-ette bring humor into the workplace and life in general.

The site focuses on a few key areas:

• Humor Benefits: Why use humor in the workplace? Stress relief, calorie burning, happiness, productivity, leadership… It’s all here.
• Humor Academy: Ready to make work more enjoyable for yourself and others? Here’s how to do just that by leveraging humor.
• Learn with Humor: Humor isn’t just fun, it’s also a great teaching tool. Learn various tips, tricks, and techniques for advancing in the corporate world, written from a humorous angle.
• Corporate Recess: Just need a laugh? I’ve scoured the Internets collecting the best of office humor (and other humor) that is work safe and will have you laughing in your seat.
• Humor Interviews: I’m not the only who knows about the value of humor.  Listen to what these leaders in the corporate and comedy worlds say about our favorite subjects.
• Quotes Database: A lot of smart people have said a lot of smart things.  Find inspiration, humor, and a lot more in this collection of great quotes.

• What I Learned From: You can learn something from everything–books, movies, rap music.  Here’s what I’ve picked up from a variety of sources.

Of course, you don’t get all of that for free. OK, yes you do, but I do have expectations of you.  And you might be thinking, “Who does he think he is, expecting stuff out of me?  I don’t even know this guy.”  But don’t worry, my expectations are low.  I just hope that if you learn something, you laugh, or you cry, leave a comment and share your thoughts with the rest of the community – don’t be selfish, share yourself.  And as always, send me your love (aka feedback).
